How EXCITING!!!! Your Spring and Summer event couldn’t be more fun now with our huge 20″ paper lanterns! Currently we have them available in white, turquoise/acqua, purple, baby pink, fuchsia, apple green (chartreuse) & white.

We offer both Full Service rental options including delivery, installation & take down, as well as a D.I.Y options for the more Hands-On couples. For rental information visit our Chinese Paper Lantern rentals page!

Whether inside a tent, or simply outdoors, these lanterns will brighten your party. Our LED lights will bring our lanterns alive at night, spreading a fun glow amongst your guests.

Not having an outdoor wedding? no problem bring the outdoors IN! See how our bride-to-be brought her destination wedding feel into her bridal shower. Her CUBA-bound wedding won’t be until August 2011, but we helped her convey her paper lantern beach wedding concept, by hanging them off Montecassino’s Banquet Hall’s 20ft ceiling at various lengths.

Everyone loved them, including us. Paper lanters can easily transform any event into a fun, whimsical one. Want to make a statement? chose a bold colour such as Apple Green or Fuchsia and spread them around your venues ceilings or open spaces!

The Hazelnut-Caramel praline Topping!

So, it happens, this week I get to meet this amazing & elegant Venezuelan/Austrian lady, her name is Deborah Krzypow. She is an event lover, a home-staging expert, and seasoned private event coordinator and super excited about introducing and distributing her family’s innovative product to North America (US & Canada).

The amazing topping started in 1909 with the opening of the famed Messmer Family Restaurant near the Austrian alps in the picturesque town of Lochau. Now is available in Canada throught her company The Messmer Legacy According to the website, “the Hazelnut-Caramel Praline is the first in a long line of products…crunchy, sweet and nutty—it crackles and melts, like 2 toppings in 1! It’s like having a Viennese waltz inside your mouth: elegant, refined…and sexy!”

This is definetly another MUST TRY!

As the wedding 2010 season ends and the holidays soon approaches, Mapleleaf Decorations is moving up! (literally). From December 6th, 2010 we are establishing our new offices and showroom right at the ♥ of “Toronto’s Wedding Central”, (400/HWY7).

Now closer to your Banquet Halls, and still accessible to all major highways to/from the GTA, we are getting ready for another amazing weddings season in 2011!

Ashley & Richard’s Wedding – Glitz & Glam

Ashley & Richards wedding reception was classy, glitzy, elegant and glamorous. The feel was inviting and warm hence matching their European (Portuguese) culture. From the romantic and elegant Bride’s and bridesmaid’s sweetheart necklines, to the luscious satin head/cake and receiving tables draping, 30-foot sheer backdrop design, to the table-gracing calla lily centrepieces, and the three four-tiered cake, this wedding felt like a true ‘Old Hollywood’ celebration. We wish Ashley and Richard a beautiful ‘happily ever after’.

Personalized gift cards on bombonieres, programs and menus add a human and intimate touch to your wedding event. Strategically placed Bride & Groom’s initials can make your guests feel honoured to be part of your special day.

We totally love the chic and elegant table seating display. Choosing a beautifully carved picture frame, makes this seating board a neat piece of art. Sometimes simple and traditional ideas can too be refreshing.

The Colour Story: Sage Green for Fall!

Wedding Date: September 25th, 2010.

Venue: Le Parc Banquet Hall Room 3 (Markham).

Head Table: This head table setup, was a pleasure to decorate. The head table was laid out in a C-shape, with the bridal party seating on the outside, and the cake table located on the inside. Draping our fabrics was a bit tricky, due to the odd non-linear shape, but we managed to create a very intimate setting. Mixing various table shapes, size and heights seem to be a great wedding trend to creating a “different” look to your wedding reception without going too overboard. If your planning a traditional wedding with a subtle colour palette, opt for a cool table layout to add that “wow” factor.

Centrepieces: The unexpected small non-translucent centerpiece became the guest table’s focal point. This Asian-inspired pottery, gave this centrepieces an earthy “hand-made” feel. The ceramic bowl grounds the airy and minimalistic concept of a water-summerged coral orchid and floating candle. Simply effective.

Colour: The sage colour satin fabrics complemented the “Zen” vive of this wedding reception. Muted, organic, shimmery and elegant – just perfect for these traditional young newlyweds.

Paper Lanterns: Bringing The Outdoors In.

Planning your 2011 Spring/Summer wedding? Here is a simple, yet chic way to add a touch of that “outdoorsy” feel to your wedding reception decor.

OUR APPLICATION: Here is how we introduce paper lanterns to an indoor wedding reception. The high ceilings and glass walls at the Atlantis Pavilion located on the Toronto Harbour Front, make it an ideal setting to use these marvellous lanterns. Although large ceilings work best, smaller lanterns can also be used in smaller venues either more scattered or grouped up into clusters for major impact. Floating around above your guests’ tables and dance floor, these paper lanterns create a fun, and elegant mood to your indoor wedding reception.
